Home Sales Rising - Closings Up 22.8%
Considering buying a new home in Raleigh? You're not the only one. There was a very significant increase in closings in 2011 versus 2010, according to the recently released Triangle MLS Report for August.
August 2010 - 836 Closed Sales in Wake County
August 2011 - 1027 Closed Sales in Wake County
22.8% Increase in Closed Sales in Wake County
In addition, new listings have reduced as well, which means there are fewer choices to select from.
August 2010 - 2015 New Listings in Wake County
August 2011 - 1550 New Listings in Wake County
23.3% DECREASE in New Listings Available in Wake County
The total inventory of homes for sale is also down - the inventory of available homes in Wake County was 22.1% lower in August 2011 than in August 2010.
