Here are the 2017 property tax rates, by town within Wake County:

To get the total property tax rate for a town, simply add the county tax to the town tax - like the "Combined 2016 Rate" in the table above. For example:

  • Cary has a town tax rate of 0.35
  • Wake County has a tax rate of 0.6005
  • Add the two together - the total tax rate for Cary, NC is 0.9505
