There was a huge increase in closings in January 2013 versus January 2012 - 21.7 percent - according to the recently released Triangle MLS Report for January 2013.

Durham County closed home sales are up 21.7 percent in January 2013 versus January 2012.  This follows a 21.1% increase December 2012 vs. December 2011.

Considering buying a new home in the Durham County area?  Significant descreases in home inventory and new listings have been reported in the recently released Triangle MLS Report for February 2012.

Here are the Durham County home inventory and new listing changes in 2012 versus 2011:

 February 2011 - 2237 Homes for Sale in Durham County

 February 2012 - 1579 Homes for Sales in Durham County

29.4% Decrease in Inventory of Homes for Sale in Durham County

 

 

In addition, new listings have reduced as well, which means there are fewer choices to select from.
