Types of storage: how many cabinets are "standard" in the size laundry room you want? Does the builder offer cabinets or "shelving" which can mean open (or wire) shelving with no door? All Stanton Homes are built with painted wood shelving.
  • Counter tops: are counter tops included? If so, how many linear feet?
  • Flooring: do you want tile or a special flooring for your laundry?
  • Windows: does the laundry room location allow for a window? If not, can your custom home builder re-arrange a few things in the floor plan to give you a window in the laundry?

Laundry Room Location on the First Floor Option #1: Near the Garage

Pros: A first floor laundry room can be located near the garage - and serve as a catch-all laundry / mud room. Just add a sink and counter top, and you've got a family and pet station.
